Colourpop has been a recent obsession of mine, a strong one. I’m amazed at how amazing the quality is at such an affordable price! Most of the products are cheaper than drugstore beauty products and a lot of them are even better than the high-end makeup I own. As of right now, there is nothing on the website that is more than $10, in fact everything on there (excluding bundle sets) are priced from $5-$8 which is insane. I’ve acquired quite the Colourpop collection so I thought it was finally time to review them. I’m breaking them down into lippie stix/lippie pencils, ultra satin lips/ultra matte lips, brow products, super shock cheek products and finally the super shock eye shadows. I hope you like them as much as I do!
Colourpop Lippie Stix & Lippie Pencils:
- Oh Snap Matte Lippie Stix: Play it naughty or nice in this pale dirty nude pink in a Matte finish. ($5)
- Fiesta Creme Lippie Stix: You never siesta while wearing this light peachy pink in a Cream finish. ($5)
- Oh Snap Lippie Pencil: Play it naughty or nice in this pale dirty nude pink. ($5)
- Rayezor Lippie Pencil: Warm peachy nude in a Matte finish. ($5)
Poppin Matte X Lippie Stix & Pasties Hyper Glossy Lippie Stix were both freebies that Colourpop included with my order. One was a thank you for reaching 2 million subscribers on Instagram and the other was because shipping took a bit longer than expected (like 2 weeks, just that one time). Both are amazing products, but were sadly limited edition.
I was blown away by how much I loved these products. I had already tried the super shock shadows, super shock cheeks and ultra satin lips so I already knew Colourpop had really good products, it’s always a little shocking how good these products really are considering the $5 price tag. Not only are these super intense pigmented, but they glide on so smooth, don’t dry out your lips (not even the matte or matte X formulas), they don’t crack or settle into fine lines and they last for HOURS! I think my favorite out of the colors I currently have is Poppin, which is one of the ones I got for free. The color is simply stunning, so vibrant and perfect for spring and summer and suitable for so many eye looks. I have been looking for another Matte X formula on their site, but I don’t see any others. Oh Snap is such a pretty mauve/nude shade too and I loved the matte formula, I especially loved having a matching lip liner. I have been on the hunt for a pretty light coral lip shade and Fiesta is the perfect color. Fiesta comes in a Creme formula which feels amazing and so hydrating on your lips. Pasties is the other lippie stix that I got for free and although the color and formula is lovely, it’s the one I used the least. It’s a bit too bold for me, I love to wear it when I’m home and hopefully I work my way to wearing it in public. This formula is a high gloss, which considering how bold the color is you have to be careful that you use it with a good lip liner or lip primer to prevent feathering. The lippie pencils are just as amazing, very pigmented and creamy and I loved that almost all lippie stix have a matching lip liner. Both of the lip liners I have were a little bit browner than I would have liked (on me) but the color and formula is still a winner.
For $5 each, the quality is amazing and you can easily splurge a bit and buy a few (or more) shades. They have so many color options in different formulas (matte, creme, satin, sheer, glossy, pearlized, etc.). I have heard people complaining that the amount of lipstick is less than the high-end ones, but come on, for $5 I can buy four or five of these for the same price as one high-end lipstick and have double or triple the amount. That doesn’t sound like a downside to me. I would recommend you look on instagram for actual swatches on lips and arms because the colors shown on the website are a bit off. Colourpop Cosmetics is one of those online only brands that is very popular among Instagram, Youtubers and beauty bloggers and after trying out most of the products myself, I can definitely see why. I’m sure this won’t be the last of my Colourpop collection.
Have you tried any of the Colourpop products yet? Which ones are your favorites?
