My Current Favorite Makeup Look

If I find a new makeup product I like, I usually wear it for a few days or weeks and I’m the same way when it comes to a makeup look I like. I don’t normally wear warm tones, I tend to stick to cool or neutral tones. I found this current makeup look while just playing around with makeup, some old and some new. I liked it so much that I’ve been wearing it every day for the last few days. I don’t know if it’s the warmer weather or how much I’m looking forward to summer and bronzy looks, but I’ve been loving this glowy look that this makeup gives me. Check out some swatches below!

My Current Favorite Makeup Look:

Kat Von D Shade & Light Palette: ($46) This was a gift from my boyfriend for Christmas last year and I already reviewed this a few months ago, but I’ll quickly say that I don’t really use this to necessarily contour my face because I don’t have the skills to completely transform my face shape and I’m lazy to learn. But I do love to use this to add some definition and warmth to my face so that I’m not so pale.

Morphe M527 Deluxe Pointed Powder Brush: ($15.99) I’ve been wanting to try Morphe brushes for a while because everyone talks about them! My sister is part of the Morphe monthly brush subscription program (from LiveGlam) and she had a few duplicate Morphe brushes that she gave me recently. I can definitely understand the hype because these brushes are really good, but out of the ones I have this powder brush is my favorite. I just want to pet it and rub it all over my face…which I do.

Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder in Porcelain Ivory: ($8.99) This is one of my current favorites since I’m lazy to wear foundation most days. I use this powder over my Maybelline Master Primer and it gives me a very light and natural coverage, which is exactly what I like. It doesn’t have a powdery of cakey finish, it lightly covers any imperfections I may have while still looking like my skin.

It Cosmetics Brow Power Trial Size: ($12) This is my all time favorite brow product! It takes less than a minute to fill in my eyebrows with this because of the applicator shape. If I want to add more definition I use powder or brow gel over it, but most days I just use this on its own. Out of all the brow products I’ve tried (including Anastasia Beverly Hills) this is by far my favorite. They have a full size for $24 but the trial size lasted me about 5 months…

Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner: ($22) If you are looking for an eyeliner that will give you super defined lines and a sharp wing, this is the perfect eyeliner. I put on my eyeliner so much easier with this and it looks cleaner, nicer and sharper. Plus, it’s waterproof but it comes off pretty easily with a cleansing oil.

Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips in Magic Wand: ($6) Colourpop is such an amazing brand! It’s not only super affordable but they have some of the most pigmented products, it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite brands. I’m not a fan of matte liquid lipstick because they feel so drying, but I do like for lipstick to have lasting power. Their Ultra Satin formula does just that, stays on for hours with out it drying, flaking or crumbling off like some matte lipsticks then to do. Magic Wand is a nice light nude shade that goes well with so many different looks.

Model Co Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini ($22): This is my only non-pink shade and the only blush I use with shimmer in it. I got this in a Ipsy bag last year and I especially love it for the Summer months because the peach and the shimmer gives my skin a nice golden bronzy tone to it. I actually wore this yesterday and I had forgotten how much I loved it! Isn’t that such a stunning shade? This is like a blush, bronzer and highlighter all in one!

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Game Face: ($5) I love the ultra metallic formulas from colourpop, this penny-copper shade is stunning! One swipe is super pigmented and you can use it alone or layer it over another color to make new color combos.

Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter in Smokin’ Whistles: ($8) I love this highlighter that has a slight pinky golden shimmer to it. Colourpop highlighters are very pigmented so a little bit goes a long way. I also like using this on my brow bone, the inner corners of my eyes or as an eyeshadow.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Porter: ($5) This shade is so out of my comfort zone, but it’s so stunning! It’s a deep wine-burgundy metallic shade that swatches so nicely. I like to wear this on the outer corners of my eyes to add some definition to the coppery shade of Game Face and give it a little extra oomph.

What are your favorite makeup products lately? Have you tried any of these brands?
