Maybelline Baby Lips – Dr. Rescue

I’m obsessed with lip balms. I have to have one on me at all times since I can’t stand that ‘dry lips’ feeling. I normally use the cherry Chapstick brand and I loooooove the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. I recently ran out of both of my lip balms and I’m planning on getting the Fresh Sugar Mini Set from Sephora soon, but the Sephora close to me doesn’t carry it. In the meantime, I’m in need of a lip balm and on a recent Target trip I ended up buying this Maybelline Soft Lips Dr. Rescue.

I’m not a fan of of the normal Soft Lips, although my kids love them. It mostly feels… plasticky and the tint is uneven and it does nothing really to treat your lips if they are chapped. But the fact that this had menthol and is medicated intrigued me. Plus, it was only $3. *shrugs*

Description from website:

No more basic lip balm. Medicated care + 12 HR hydration. Soothes quickly with a hint of eucalyptus. Cools sore lips with a touch of icy menthol. In 6 new natural tints to even out lip tone for healthier-looking lips.

Although this is no comparison to the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment, I think it’s a pretty good drugstore option for lip balm. It does have that menthol feel to it, but I didn’t really feel it doing anything to my lips which I’m okay with since I don’t have chapped lips. I mostly use lip balms to provide moisture and to keep my lips from having that nasty dry feeling. I like the soft pink tint and like the way it looks on it’s own. Not really sure if I would buy another one, but it’s nice enough to hold me over until I can make my way over to the far Sephora to get the Fresh Sugar set I want.

Do you use Baby Lips from Maybelline? WShat is your favorite drugstore lip balm?
