Maybelline Eyestudio Brow Drama Pomade Crayon Reviews

I’m always on the hunt for good eyebrow products and was so excited when I saw that Maybelline was coming out with a brow pomade crayon. It’s about time drugstore brands got serious about their brow game! I was a bit hesitant to buy this for a while because I hate warm-toned blonde brow products. But every time I say this at Target, it looked like it was more on the cool-toned side. Since I found one on sale at Target for $6 bucks, I decided to give it a try. Keep reading for my thoughts on this product!

My Thoughts:

Major props to Maybelline for creating a damn good brow product! I have tried so many brow products including most Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products and brow pomades, dip brows and gels. What intrigued me about this is that it’s supposed to be like a pomade, but in stick form. This appeals to my inner lazy girl! Like I said before, I was so happy that this Blonde is a cool-toned blonde as that is a better fit for my skin tone. It actually is a pretty close match to most of the Taupe brow products I use, which I really liked.

In terms of the actual product, I was very impressed with this as it does have a pomade-like finish. It did a good job at filling in my brows, the finish was so pretty and the color was exactly what I was looking for. The only drawback is that since the crayon is so chunky, it’s hard to use this to actually shape and define your brows. If you have a good or decent brows, then this is perfect for you to fill in your brows. But if you’re like me and you have fine/sparse brow hairs, then this isn’t defined enough to shape your eyebrows. It is great to fill them in though!

I use this when I’m in a hurry and I just quickly outline the shape of my brows with my eyebrow pencil, then fill them in with this product and run a spooly through them so it all blends out nicely and with a more natural finish. I would love to see this product in a thinner crayon, maybe with a tip like the It Cosmetics Brow Power or the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer. That would make this product pretty much perfect because then you could shape & fill in your brows and eliminate the need for other products. Despite that, I was very impressed with this product! I hope they add more color ranges instead o the three universal shades they have now. This would make a great on-the-go product as well as an every day beauty staple.
