My May Obsessions (2015)

Where the hell has the year gone? I can’t believe it’s already June. Almost mid-June actually. Anyway, here are a few things I was obsessed with in May (products linked):

May Obsessions:

No7 Beautiful Skin Refreshing Toner: I’ve talked about this one before, but I love this toner. It’s light and feels like water on my skin and doesn’t burn or irritate my eyes at all. Plus, at $8 it’s a great deal. The fact that they sell it at Target is just another bonus. ($8.99)

Bodycology Runway Heart Exfoliating Sugar Scrub: I’ve been wanting to try a sugar scrub for a while and ended up getting this on a whim during one of my Target runs. I loved this one and I’m actually getting ready to buy my next container. My kids and my boyfriend kept telling me that I smelled good every time I used this. ($8)

Acure Day Cream: This was an item that came in my Ipsy bag a few months ago. I wasn’t too excited about it at first because I hate lotion. Actually, I used to hate lotion. I never used to use it but after using this on my face, I’m kind of obsessed. I even ended up buying body lotion which is a first for me. I’m almost done with my bottle so I’ll definitely be buying a new bottle soon. I also love that they also sell this at Target. ($15)

Nyx Butter Lipstick in POPS: Another Ipsy find, I love this lipstick. It’s so creamy but without being too glossy and the color stays on a really long time. Plus, that nude/pink color is just too pretty and goes with pretty much everything. And yes, I love that I can get this brand at Target. (Can you tell I love Target?) ($6)

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer: This one is also another Ipsy find. I got this months ago in my Ipsy bag but couldn’t open the cap. (It was seriously so hard! My sister got one too and her bottle is full of teeth marks of her tube trying to open it. I tried the handy rubber band trick I found on Pinterest). I’ve heard really great things about this primer but it’s pretty pricey. I think it’s about $34 for a regular sized tube. I save this for when I know I’m going somewhere. I would consider buying this again. ($34)

Joyride by Anna Banks: I loved this book so much. Probably my favorite May book. It’s a beautiful romance but I loved how it also deals with tough issues like immigration and racism. I loved this one so much that I read my ebook then heard the audiobook again. Check out my review of Joyride! ($10)

Kindle Fire HD 6: I’ve been an Amazon Prime member since it first started so I was able to get this for $20 when it first came out last year. I had the older Kindle version and really liked it, but I love that this is a little but smaller and sleeker looking. I used this for reading, audiobooks, Pinterest, the internet and watching

Netflix. So much Netflix! It’s on sale for $99 right now and worth every penny! ($99)

BH Cosmetics Flawless Brow Trio: My eyebrows are so light, so light that it looks like I don’t have any eyebrows. I used to use the ELF eyebrow kit but even the ‘light’ was still too dark for me. I bought this cause I’ve heard great things, plus it was so cheap. I love it! The ‘light’ color is actually a great match for me. ($6.50)

There you have it, some of my favorites from May. I have to say, Ipsy is turning out to be a great investment! What were some of your favorites?
