Wet n’ Wild always seems to be such an enigma of a brand for me. They are like the unicorn of makeup, I know the products exists but they are so hard to actually get your hands on. The products that I have tried, I have absolutely loved, but I can’t seem to ever find almost every other product that I want to try from them. The liquid eyeliner everyone raves about? I’ve never ever seen it? The concealer that everyone loves, where the hell can I find it??? Do these products even exist in real life and where can I get them? Even on their website, they don’t have all their products listed, even the new ones that I’m reviewing today. I have seen this new collection all over Instagram and YouTube and was shocked that they had these products during a recent trip to the grocery store. Sadly, they only had these three products, which I was quick to snatch up!
MegaGlo Multi-Stick Highlighter in Marigold Round ($3.99): I’ve never tried a highlightick stick or cream before and I was very intrigued by this. At only $3.99, I couldn’t pass this one up and I’m so glad I got it. The highlight is a really pretty shimmery moonstone color that blends like a dream. The packaging is really cute and the flowers give it such a summery and tropical feel for it, although this highlight would be perfect for all year use.
Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Crown of My Canopy ($3.99): This is the product that I was the most excited about from the new collection. The swatches looked amazing! Unfortunately, I was after the goldish tone and I was only able to find the pinkish highlighter shade. I wasn’t about to pass this up, especially since I would probably never see it again and although I am in love with the color and the highlight payoff, this is a little bit too strong for me as a highlight. It makes for a really great blush/highlighter combo, but used as highlighter alone, it’s a bit too bright and pigmented for my pale skin. I am still on the hunt for the golden highlight powder shade.
Coloricon Metallic Liquid Lipstick in My Tulips Are Sealed ($2.99): I don’t tend to use any metalic shades on my lips, so I’m not really sure why I picked this one up. Part of the reason has to do with the fact that I have been really into coral lip shades recently and this one looked so freaking pretty. Another reason had to do with the fact that I was a little bit shocked that I actually had found a new Wet n’ Wild item so I felt like I had to get it. Like I said, the color is so pretty and it has a really nice golden tone to it. It really looks and feels great and while I wouldn’t call this a true liquid lipstick (it kind of feels like a gloss), it’s a really great product. Unfortunately, this color just isn’t for my skintone, it was a bit too bold for my liking and now I’m wishing I could have been able to find the hot pink shade instead since that’s more my color.
As you can see below, these colors are beautiful! The highlighters are especially stunning! Another great product from Wet n’ Wild, I just wish their products were easier to find.
