Gwen Stefani has been one of my favorite style icons since I was in middle school, I mean, I totally blame her for my pink hair stage (do you guys remember when she had hot pink hair? I loved it!) and has remained a favorite of mine throughout the years. Urban Decay is one of those brands that I hear sooo much about, and despite having so many products from their brand on my wishlist I hadn’t gotten around to buying anything from their line. When I heard that Gwen Stefani was coming out with a line with Gwen Stefani, I knew I wanted everything. Since that isn’t realistic for my budget, I really had to think about what I really wanted to get and I knew the blush palette was the first item on my wishlist. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous on this palette! I am in love with how sleek and clean this looks with the with and gold packaging. I was hesitant to spend $48 on this palette so when this was the Ulta pick of the day a few weeks ago and it was only $22.50, I drove an hour away to my nearest Ulta. Luckily, I made it just in time and there were only 2 palettes left in the store. I had a credit of $22 so I only ended up paying about 50 cents for this little beauty.
Urban Decay/Gwen Stefani Blush Palette Reviews:
My Thoughts: I have been looking and hoping for a palette that has contour, bronzer, blush and highlight products all in one. I have found palettes with contour and highlight but never anything that includes blushes too (if you have found one with all products, please let me know). Although this is targeted as a blush palette, I think it’s completely universal and you can use these as blushes, bronzer, contour and even highlight. While these shades look more on the light side, I was surprised at how super pigmented these are. Especially Cherry, Easy and Hush, make sure you use a light hand with these and build up if needed. This palette exactly what I’ve been looking for! A mix of 4 shimmer shades and two matte shades that can be used in different ways, I’ve even used these as eye shadows a few times. My absolute favorite shades in the palette are Cherry, Easy, Angel and Hush (I use this as a highlighter). Lo-Fi and OC are great peachy matte colors that can be used as blush on bronzer and these also make great transition shades. I was extremely impressed with this palette and considering how many different uses I can get from this, I think the price tag is totally worth it (especially since it’s on sale for $30 right now). I want more items from the Urban Decay/Gwen Stefani line, starting next with the eye shadow palette. Although this was my very first Urban Decay purchase, it definitely won’t be my last. I also have my eye on their new collection and color correcting concealers.
